Since Kate Middleton's abdominal surgery and cancer diagnosis earlier this year, we (understandably) haven't gotten any cute couple moments from the Princess of Wales and her husband, Prince William, in quite some time. Royal fans, however, are keeping the love alive with a new montage of throwback husband-and-wife interactions that recently went viral, featuring an adorable and hilarious exchange between the two.
A compilation of Will-and-Kate clips posted to TikTok earlier this month contains footage from a 2015 trip to Wales, where the couple participated in a rappelling exercise at the Towers Residential Outdoor Education Centre. In the video, a suspended Prince William — who serves as the patron of the Mountain Rescue England and Wales organization — can be seen climbing down an incline backward while Middleton feeds the rope as he goes. During his descent, Middleton teased William with witty remarks like, "How much do you love me?" and "You're going slowly," to which William replied, "Yours is too tight. You have to let go."

After asking him if he was okay, Middleton added that she was "quite enjoying this actually." "For once, I'm in control," she joked.
Other moments in the montage captured William jokingly warn Middleton to "be careful" what she said during an interview since "these guys are filming everything," Middleton poke fun at her husband for rolling his "R"s, and William exclaim that he "wanted a quiet night" while holding Middleton's hands as she says "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

The couple hasn't been spotted in an official capacity since the 2023 Christmas Day service — of course, they were seen enjoying a trip to the farmer's shop last month in an internet-breaking video — but Prince William has been supportive during Middleton's cancer battle and chemotherapy treatment. A palace insider told People that "William is extremely proud of his wife for the courage and strength she has shown not just this week but since her surgery in January."
"Now more than ever, he’s focused on ensuring his wife has the privacy she needs to fully recover and that his children are shielded from the understandable interest in the news that has been shared," the source added.
