Kylie Jenner Wore Spring 2024s Hottest Shoe in a New Campaign

I still remember my first pair of slingback heels; I was in my 20s working at a fashion magazine and they were all the rage. I went out, bought a no-name pair in brown leather with a kitten heel (which meant I could run all over the streets of New York without pain and suffering), and promptly wore them into the ground. I haven’t given much thought to slingback heels in the years since — but now they’re basically 2024’s hottest spring shoe. 

Not only have they popped up on the runway, but stars like Julia Roberts and Katie Holmes have been spotted in them — and Kylie Jenner is the latest celeb to hop on the trend. As Sam Edelman’s new brand ambassador, Jenner was photographed sporting many of the fashion-forward styles from the brand’s Icons collection in a new campaign. But it’s the Bianka Slingback Pumps that really made me sit up and take notice.

This Sam Edelman style is designed with slightly angled, 2.4-inch kitten heel and adjustable buckle closure to complete the look. They come in 17 different colors, including basics like black and nude, and bolder hues including lilac and rose. However, Jenner’s patent silver pair  immediately stole my heart. Metallic shoes have been making the rounds since last year — everyone from Kate Middleton, Chrissy Teigen, Helen Mirren, and Emma Roberts have worn them — so it’s no wonder that Sam Edelman got in on the action, too. In addition to the patent style, they’re also available in leather and suede, and come in sizes 5 to 12. Shoppers say they’re “comfortable and fit great,” “look a lot more expensive than they are,” and call the heel height “perfect.” As if I needed any additional reasons to add them to my cart immediately, if not sooner.

I’m picturing them with everything from skinny cropped jeans and a slouchy tee to an LBD to a denim jacket and leggings — the list goes on. If you don’t want the metallic silver (gasp), they’re also available in showstopping hues like jeweled black, blue denim, and zebra print.
